Join us for a compelling presentation featuring FBI Porland’s Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC), Mari Panovich as she shares insight into the experiences, challenges and opportunities that helped shaped her career from entry level to executive management within the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
ASAC Panovich began her career in 2004 as a professional support employee and soon became a Special Agent in 2009 serving in multiple field offices including Chicago, Las Vegas and FBI headquarters in Washington, DC.
The FBI’s Teen Academy program in Portland allows high school students the opportunity to develop leadership skills and to investigate the world of law enforcement. Active explorations of fitness and forensic science grow students’ minds and bodies while age-appropriate lessons on topics such as violence prevention, sextortion, and hoax threats teach them how to stay safe. FBI staff, including special agents, intelligence analysts, and professional staff, lead discussions and interactive sessions focused on the work we do, how we do it, and, most importantly, why we choose this work in service of all Americans.
Any student with an interest in leadership and service is welcome to apply for this free opportunity. An interest in a law enforcement career is not a pre-requisite.
The 2026 Portland FBI Teen Academy is open July 14 – July 17, 2026 to high school sophomores and juniors during the 2025/2026 school year. Students should submit their application by email to Outreach.pd@fbi.gov (preferred) or mail no later than 5:00pm on 04/03/2026. Visit the FBI Portland field office website at www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices/portland/community-outreach for additional details and application.
The Board is working on details of this general membership meeting.
Once details are confirmed, we will send out a communication to announce the event and registration details.
