CITIZENS ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

COMMITTEES

MEMBER SERVICES

  • Maintains current contact information of all members
  • Reviews requests for membership transfer from other FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Associations
  • Maintains electronic record keeping related to membership
  • Coordination of “Meet and Greet” for academy classes
  • Handle researching bounce-back emails for updates
  • Handles tracking of membership statistics (exact statistics TBD)
  • Recruitment of new members
  • Responsible for membership certificates & graduation certificates
  • Conduct an annual update of the database
  • Conduct new member orientation
  • Membership Recognition


PUBLIC OUTREACH

  • SOS
  • CREST
  • Youth Leadership Academy
  • Girlsfest
  • National Night Out
  • Active Shooter Situational Awareness
  • Arranges regular Association activities such as Speaker Events
  • Solicits participation for community outreach events


COMMUNICATIONS

  • Maintain the Association’s calendar
  • Informing members on general Association activities
  • Responsible for managing communications to the Members
  • Charged with keeping promotional materials {photos, logos, newsletters, recruitment flyers} current and available for use
  • Coordinates communications and timely distribution of Association’s events information, news and announcements
  • Monthly newsletters
  • Social Media Sub-committee: Wild Apricot, LinkedIn, Facebook


EVENTS

  • Develops special events/programs/field trips for our membership
  • Communicate with Public Outreach and Communications on upcoming events

  • Movie Night
  • Happy Hour at Local Brewery
  • Poker Run
  • Portland Art Museum
  • FBI Appreciation Day


STRATEGIC PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Yearly planning
  • Bylaw review and updating
  • Donor and Partner relations
  • Grant Applications
  • Fundraising sub-committee
  • Manages FBICAAA fundraising activities
  • Develop and implements a fundraising strategy for the association, including identifying potential individual donors, corporate donors, and event opportunities.


EDUCATION

  • Identify new opportunities for outreach development
  • Human Trafficking Awareness
  • Concealed Handgun Class
  • Cyber Security Awareness
  • Develop Member Education Plan


The FBI Portland Citizens Academy Alumni Association is a nonprofit, tax exempt, 501(c)(3) organization separate and apart from the FBI.
